Michelle Whittemore, non-Exec Board Member
Michelle Whittemore, Director of Marketing Communications at the multi-award-winning luxury hotel Pan Pacific London joins EC BID (Eastern City Business Improvement District) as a Non-Executive Board Member.
As a Non-Executive Board Member, Michelle will work alongside the BID’s Executive Team to help facilitate the strategic decision-making process.
Kate Hart, CEO of the EC BID, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have Michelle join our Board.
“Her previous experience as a member of our Marketing and Communications Steering Group, together with her vast knowledge and understanding of the footprint and the hospitality industry, will enhance and enrich the Board’s overall governance and objectives.”
Michelle Whittemore said “Hospitality is such an important segment within the Square Mile and a major attraction for local residents, home county visitors and international travellers alike.
“I look forward to working alongside my fellow Board Members to position the Eastern City as a place to discover a different side of London.”
Michelle was key in driving Pan Pacific London’s recent collaboration with EC BID (and MTArt Agency) to bring MOSAIC to One Bishopsgate Plaza, directly in front of the hotel, as part of the hotel’s Radiance & Reflection Christmas Campaign.
The striking site-specific installation, designed by award-winning artist Arnaud Lapierre, was a reimagination of the traditional Christmas tree and made entirely of recycled emerald-green glass and mirrored cubes.
Michelle has over 20 years of marketing and communications experience working in luxury hospitality.
Her career has taken her to South Africa, Belgium and London, most notably working with renowned luxury hotels including Corinthia London, Nira Hotels & Resorts global portfolio and Marriott International.
Since joining Pan Pacific in 2019, Michelle has led the group’s strategic communications, multimedia marketing, public relations and brand management, launching Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s first European property to the London market in 2021 and subsequently maintaining its profile as one of the City’s leading five-star properties.
Since then, the hotel has scooped numerous accolades, including two ‘Hotel of the Year’ awards in its first two years of operation.
