GS Magazine online brings you up to date design stories, new hotel and restaurant openings, in-depth industry features, new product news, job opportunities and easy to navigate lists giving you access to a growing number of prestige designers, architects and suppliers in the hospitality market.
The printed version of GS Magazine was launched in 1997 in response to the emergence of design-led hotels and restaurants in the UK. This was a golden era for hospitality as ‘boutique’ hotels were opening at a staggering rate in cities and towns across the land and interior designers were being called upon to help create new and exciting interiors, worthy of the covers of Vogue and Cosmopolitan (and GS Magazine).
Our website was launched in 2004 to help promote the printed magazine to an online, tech-savvy audience and to encourage subscriptions.
A magazine for the future
In 2019 the website was relaunched as a replacement to the magazine.
Whilst we were sad to see the end of the printed version, we realised that this is the future. Production and distribution costs were reduced overnight and those savings have been passed on to our advertisers. Typically our online advertising costs are around 85% cheaper than they were when in print.
And the advantages of online over print are impossible to ignore.
News and features are delivered quickly, they go ‘live’ as soon as they are written.
Advertisers can amend their adverts at any time online, so their message can be refreshed as often as required during their campaigns.
Visitors can access the site at any time, day or night, and from any device: laptop, desk top, mobile or tablet.

Readers can link directly to advertisers’ websites, in an instant, making contact with potential suppliers quicker and easier than ever before. Through Google Analytics we can accurately monitor activity throughout the site: we can see how many visitors we have monthly, weekly, daily, hourly, and in real time.
Our system shows when a visitor logs onto the site, we can see how long they stay, and it records which pages are most read.
We can even see from which cities visitors are logging on from, anywhere in the world.
Every month we welcome over 30,000 visitors to the site. These are individuals with a direct interest in the industry.
Google analytics tells us that several thousand of them are searching for interior designers or hotel, restaurant, pub and bar suppliers. If that’s you then you should join us.
