How architects and designers can embrace AI
An early adopter of AI assisted design for hospitality, Vojtek Morsztyn argues that AI can be a force for the better if used creatively.
Far from putting design studios out of work, AI can bring tangible, cost efficient benefits to designers that extend well beyond the aesthetic and can be the creator of new dialogues with colleagues and clients.

In my approach to design, I view AI as a revolutionary tool that transforms the ideation and visualization processes.
At its core, my philosophy revolves around the power of merging creativity with the latest technology to amplify and accelerate our potential as designers.
Working predominantly in the restaurant and hospitality sectors, I find AI offers an unprecedented avenue for translating ideas into visuals, enabling me to test new concepts and iterate in ways that were once impossible.
AI fundamentally shifts how architects and designers approach their work.
By enabling rapid ideation, it opens up fresh perspectives and creative pathways.
Previously, some ideas were either too time-intensive or too complex to explore thoroughly, but with AI, we now have a unique opportunity to rediscover and reimagine design at an accelerated pace.
This technology doesn’t replace our role as creators; rather, it enhances it, allowing us to push boundaries and question conventions with greater freedom.
For architects and hotel developers, AI brings tangible benefits that extend beyond aesthetics.
On a practical level, it optimizes workflow, helping us design more efficiently and experiment with multiple options before committing to a single direction.
This reduces costs, streamlines development processes, and allows us to explore sustainable design solutions that are both innovative and functional.
For hotel developers, AI can inform early stages of concept planning, offering visualizations that make it easier to envision spatial layouts, atmospheres, and guest experiences before any physical work begins.
Looking ahead, I see AI becoming an essential partner in our field, pushing us toward an era where design is more interactive, agile, and data-informed.
We’re only just beginning to understand its potential for real-time collaboration, predictive modelling, and environmental optimization.
With each project, I’m excited to see how AI continues to redefine the possibilities within hospitality and architecture.
I believe that by embracing these tools, we’re not only refining our creative processes but also paving the way for designs that are more responsive, inspired, and adaptable to the ever-changing landscape of human needs and experiences.
