WHITBREAD NAMED ‘TOP EMPLOYER’ FOR 13TH YEAR RUNNING

Global certification company The Top Employers Institute has confirmed Whitbread as a Top Employer – recognition that only goes to those businesses that create excellent working environments.

The accreditation involved a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the people practices across the whole of Whitbread’s hospitality brands including Premier Inn, Beefeater and Brewers Fayre as well as its support centre functions.

All its people practices across its UK operations and support centre, including brand marketing, commercial and guest relations teams, have been reviewed, assessed, validated and benchmarked – against organisations across the globe.

It covers areas such as talent management, culture and learning and development.

These practices are carefully assessed, validated and benchmarked by the Top Employers Institute.

Exceptional standards

Top Employers provide benchmarking across these areas, helping businesses understand how they compare to other external organisations, as well as providing invaluable insight into areas where the business is performing well.

Chief People Officer Rachel Howarth said: “I am thrilled that for the thirteenth year in a row, Whitbread has been recognised as a ‘Top Employer’ in the UK. It is an incredible milestone, and testament to our commitment to create an exceptional working experience and environment for our people, as well as future talent joining our business.

“ It gives me immense pleasure to be part of an organisation where we believe that everyone can reach their potential, with no barriers to entry and no limits to ambition.

“From a guest perspective, this accreditation offers a clear signal that we genuinely care that our team members are able to reach their full potential and consistently deliver great service, quality and value to enable them to have the best possible stay.”
