Lobby Without Walls!
Livist Resorts Group has unveiled its first luxury designer boutique resort in Phetchabun, Thailand. Focusing on modern minimalist design, the five star sustainable urban resort is scheduled to open in November this year.
The understated interiors and personalised service will be located in the epicentre of Narai Phattana Alley, a dynamic tourist area with a lively atmosphere known for its culture. Located near top restaurants and shopping malls, it will also be close to several National Parks with green recreational spaces that offer breath-taking views of the Phetchabun Sierra Range, known as the Little Swiss Alps of Thailand.
According to Sopit Damminsek, President of Livist Resorts Group, it will be suitable for honeymoon couples and business travellers alike, delivering a vibrant, engaging and genuine boutique luxury experience.
The group is led by hospitality veteran Azuan Noordin and the award-winning architect firm POAR | Patchara + Omnicha Architects. Styled as Thailand’s first “geometry” design resort, Patchara Wongboonsin and Ornnicha Duriyaprapan were given free rein to let their imaginations run wild. Employing local artisans and craftspeople wherever possible to create a truly one of a kind, custom made experience, the calming setting will be reflected in the mixture of modern minimalist and natural Asian design.
The view from the resort will also physically shape the architecture itself. On the top floor there will be the largest infinity roof top pool in the north east of Thailand, providing 360-degree views towards the sierra.
Each of the 80 suites will feature monochrome décor and will face the most beautiful angle of the mountains, featuring full-height windows that will allow visitors to enjoy sunsets. The ground floor lobby will have no wall and the roof will be tiled to create a comfortable atmosphere that the breeze can flow through. The layout will also separate the rooms to create spaces for the wind and natural light to reach even the inner corridors during the day. This design strategy will also make this building very energy efficient.
An immaculate vision of whitewashed walls and crisp white linen offset by strong, symmetrical lines will reflect the deep green of the surrounding areas and the azure blue of the sky. The stylish design will combine the simplicity of natural flooring, silk and marble with modern choices of artwork and furniture, creating a distinct identity whilst retaining the charm of an intimate urban escape.
