Owned by London entrepreneur Robert Newmark, who is a director of the Beach Blanket Babylon bars in Notting Hill and Shoreditch, this new site is a collaboration between Newmark and hospitality openings consultant Cheila Reais, of CR Consultancy, who will operate the venue (Sanderson afternoon tea curator and Terry Venables hotel opening). Cheila has brought on board creative Piers Walker (The Scotch, Mondrian London) and Chef John Pollard (Soho House Group) to create West Thirty Six.
Piers Walker comments “West Thirty Six is a refuge for locals, a hub for creators and a home for food and cocktail enthusiasts alike. We are situated in the soul of West London, in amongst the character and artisanal culture of Golborne Road. We aim to be authentic in telling our story and a natural extension to an already bustling neighbourhood lifestyle.”
The property features spectacular rooms and terraces, complete with a range of lounge areas and two outdoor spaces with an open grill and bar. West Thirty Six will be a neighbourhood home, changing from day to night to accommodate young and creative people as a place to work, hold meetings, and later hang out with friends while drinking and dancing to excellent music. West Thirty Six will also become a space for creative people to showcase their works and collaborate on events.
in terms of the food offer, West Thirty Six takes classic items from a conventional grill house menu and places a unique twist on them. As well as cooking with natural fuels and charcoal to deliver the finest quality they will be producing in house dry-aged beef and a special charcuterie accompanied with a mix sides that includes truffled mac ‘n’ cheese and beef brisket sliders. West Thirty Six stays true to the philosophy of buying the best British produce and delivering an authentic taste including American and British cuisine.
